Mancattan is a fully independent feature film, that was Written, Shot and Edited between 2007 and 2009. The film is an independent low budget movie that was made entirely by a small team from the North West of England, using their own time, talent, funds and enthusiasm.
Recorded using broadcast standard cameras (of the time) onto MiniDV format, the film survives today as an online film available for free streaming and sharing. Though time and technology have moved rapidly, and with the rise of DSLR cameras achieving filmic looks, HD 1080P streaming, and a multitude of online streaming providers, Mancattan already appears rather dated in terms of the Technology used to make it. However...
...Mancattan's Legacy continues!
Despite being finished in 2009, the script, performances, and story that make the beating heart of the film, continue to stand the test of time, with Mancattan having been seen by tens of thousands of viewers Worldwide.
The film still makes the odd appearance at Film festivals and events all over the world, and the film-makers have often been asked to speak about their experiences at film nights, screenings and educational venues where they (hopefully) play a small part in inspiring the next generation of UK Indie film-makers. Mancattan is the end result of what dogged determination, passion, hard work and the utter refusal to bow down to external pressure and challenges that presented themselves along the way.
Our chosen Charities

In turn we would not like to take money as we could not pay for the time, effort, contributions, voluntary time and collaborations with all the crew, musicians, actors, artists and photographers who made Mancattan possible.
Instead, any and all advertising revenue generated by this film is DONATED ENTIRELY TO CHARITY. If you have watched this film on a non-ad revenue platform, but feel the charitable need to put your hands in your pockets, we would kindly ask that you donate some funds to one of our two chosen charities using the links on this website.
